The spoils of war come with great cost
More than all the lives we've lost
Those who fight for either cause
Will be divided one and all
Look at the sad tale of Saul
Who twice by David made a fool
Warned by God to let it go
He kept on calling David a foe
Finally there was no connection
He couldn't get the information
Went against his own laws
To hear the truth about his cause
What if he repented then?
Could his prayers have saved him then?
